How to Send E-mails with Exchange Using a Different “From” Address - The Official SBS Blog - Site Home - TechNet Blogs

How to Send E-mails with Exchange Using a Different “From” Address - The Official SBS Blog - Site Home - TechNet Blogs: A very common request we get is people wanting to be able to send outbound Internet e-mails from Outlook using different addresses as the originating address. This is different than just using a delegation or Sending on Behalf, this is truly sending the e-mail with a different “From:” address. The solution presented here will focus in using Outlook and Exchange without the need to create new accounts in Outlook. It will not only allow a user to send using a different e-mail address, it will also allow a user or a group of users to send using the e-mail address of a mail enabled security group.

ORACLE-BASE - Using NFS with ASM

ORACLE-BASE - Using NFS with ASM:
In general, I don't see a need to use ASM with NFS, especially if you are using Netapp filers. But there are some specific circumstances where it might be a good thing ...
- You want to take advantage of the rebalancing functionality of ASM even though you are using NFS as your shared storage.
- You have multiple storage tiers (DAS/SAN and NAS) and would like them all to be managed by ASM.
- Some desktop virtualization tools (VirtualBox (fixed in 3.2.8) and VMware Fusion) do not allow shared disks, so the only way to install RAC on them is to use NFS for the shared storage. If you want to demonstrate ASM and RAC in these environments then you will need to consider combining NFS and ASM.

Seems like a good idea if you really need to have two active SIM cards. But according to this link, the phone needs to be jailbroken.

Starwind review | VMGuru.nl - I choose (a virtual) life!
I am normally not an advocate of enterprise storage built on Windoze but the Starwind iSCSI SAN could be the exception. It looks like a solid product, and it's performance has been validated in tests such as the MS/Intel 1 million IOPS benchmark.

Interesting story, might be a publicity stunt? Anyways, Prey should give CompuTrace, LoJack, and other established players a run for the money.

On the Rules of Engagement for Information Warfare

This is a real gem from the past (2004) when I was very involved in building infrastructure and services to mitigate DDoS attacks. Good to see the folks at Symbiot are still in business today. But they are singing a very different tune about how one should respond to DDoS attacks. I do miss the Wild West times on the Internet :)
